The object of the game is to draw cards and create a total of 21 or closer to 21 than the Dealer. The Ten, Jack, Queen, and King playing cards each have a value of ten. Aces can be worth one or eleven in your total. Gaming cheques are purchased only at Gaming Tables. To start the game, two cards are dealt to each Player and the Dealer. The Players’ cards are dealt face up. When the Dealer has a single deck, both cards are delivered face down. One of the Dealer’s cards is dealt face up; the other Dealer card is placed face down. An Ace with any Ten, Jack, Queen, or King is a “Blackjack” and paid at one and a half times the amount wagered (or 3 to 2).
After receiving their cards, each Player has the option to “Hit” or “Stand”. Players wishing to “Hit” must make a scratching motion on the table towards themselves. Single deck players must scratch the table with their cards. Players who wish “Stand” must wave off the Dealer with a side to side motion of their hands. Single deck Players must tuck their cards under their bet. At this time, Players may “Double Down” on any of the first two cards of a multiple deck game; 10 and 11 only on single deck games. Players may bet Double Down for up to the amount of their original wager and receive only one card. Players may split pairs of cards up to three times to make a total of four hands. Only same value cards may be split. Split Aces receive only one card. In single deck games, Aces are split only once. To split cards, Players must again wager the same amount of their original wager. Players may Double Down after splitting – up to the amount of original wager. Single deck games do not allow doubling after splitting.
